Postez pe acest blog pur si simplu fiindca imi place si sunt dornic sa impartasesc cu toata lumea experimentele mele, filmarile, chestiile DIY si multe alte lucruri. Ma simt eu mai bine daca o fac :).
Blogul este in engleza, fiind o limba de circulatie internationala. Cred ca majoritatea va descurcati sa o intelegeti ;).

So I was just scouting for some cool mini science projects on youtube, and I accidentally found this :
As it says in the video, you should rapidly put this metal in a jar, or even better, in mineral oil. Being the first metal in its group, it’s( I think) the most reactive metal. It’s so reactive that it reacts just standing in the air ( you can see in the video that it gets black).
One can make awesome reactions with it or just burn it, it burns with a light comparable to that of sun. Have fun! ( if you have the money, these batteries are expensive =)) )
I discovered today a lovely guide( actually “instructables” as they like to call them) on how to build several types of robots on a cool site everyone should visit, because all the articles there are posted on different categories.
Here’s the link to that guide I was talking about : LINK
OK so I decided to make a simple apparatus for making oxygen from electrolysis. I also made hydrogen during this experiment, but I didn’t collect it. The bothering thing was that it took 8 hours(!!!) to fill just a quarter of my small collecting “tank” ( which is a jar btw…).
Secondery products, in smaller quantities, were chlorine gas and , I think, Na that combined with water resulting NaOH. I’m not pretty sure about this though. I plan redoing this next week when I’ll make the anode( the electrode where the oxygen is producing) better- I’ll increase its surface.
But until then whatch the video . You’ll see at the final of the video what cool effect has oxygen over super heated wood.
Hey all, I found a cool method to build a speaker ! Just search after “kipkay” on youtube, you’ll surely find it
And it’s quite cool too. This is what I did :
Made a coil on some scrap paper
Glued the coil on the plastic plate
Built some suspensions from scrap paper which will sustain the plate and coil
Put some magnets in the center of this coil while allowing it to move freely vertically
The result wasn’t as I was expecting, and I immediatly noticed the problem : the coil has a low resistance , meaning that it lacks of wire.
Well, anyway it had sound and also at full bass the plate was moving up and down, cool . At some point the coil began smoking. Here are some pictures and a video(smoking) with it :
I modified my case a little with some components. Know the red light that flashes when the HDD is in use ? Well, I deconnected that led and added 2 blue leds with some circutry. That’s because I wanted the mto slowly fade away.
Here’s the video :
And here’s how to hook the pieces so you can do this thing too :
For those of you who loved settlers2 in their childhoods, here’s a surprise !
A bunch of coders from Germany succeded in making settlers2 a multiplayer game. Not hotseat, but multiplayer ! Not only that it’s multiplayer now but it also runs smoother, runs on windows xp and the single player part of the game is a wip.
If you would still like to play settlers2 in single player, I recommend you to download DosBox. And here’s the full version of the game ( abandonware) on bestoldgames :
