Online video editing

Long time, no posts. I’m busy what can I say. My room is in renovation and I have a temporary place for my computer. School makes me busy too, I had a couple of tests last week and today I had a chemistry test. Heh, I passed them

I want to share with whoever reads this a cool site I found. It’s about video editing, you can edit your videos online !  And it’s free too !

You have 10 gb( for free!) to work with. Well, think of it : a 2-3 high-quality video that you’ll upload on youtube takes between 100-200 mb of space. Think of how much space you have for free to work with !

They offer other services like digitizing your old video cassetes, but that’s obviously not free and you have to send them.

Making Oxygen(first attempt)

OK so I decided to make a simple apparatus for making oxygen from electrolysis. I also made hydrogen during this experiment, but I didn’t collect it. The bothering thing was that it took 8 hours(!!!) to fill just a quarter of my small collecting “tank” ( which is a jar btw…).

Secondery products, in smaller quantities, were chlorine gas and , I think, Na that combined with water resulting NaOH. I’m not pretty sure about this though. I plan redoing this next week when I’ll make the anode( the electrode where the oxygen is producing) better- I’ll increase its surface.

But until then whatch the video . You’ll see at the final of the video what cool effect has oxygen over super heated wood.

Gmod contraption building … a stabilized car !

I like playing gmod again !

Here’s a thing I recently did in gmod :

This is a new creation of mine. I got bored of using phx over and over again so I returned to old-school gmod contraptions building.
So I made this weird car, with wirecontrol WASD, on an advanced duplicator.I added an RT camera for the rear view and a speedometer.
And I made a test ride. I loved how it behaved in corners, the drifts are quite awesome. But this awesomeness came with a price : some drifts lead the car to a barrel roll.
Solution ? I added a gyroscope, a less\greater than gate and if the car’s pitch is more than 40 or less than -40 , a thruster is activated and the car won’t barrel roll ever again. Even if it does, when it stops the power of the thruster will put it back on its wheels.

HDD activity LED mod

I modified my case a little with some components. Know the red light that flashes when the HDD is in use ? Well, I deconnected that led and added 2 blue leds with some circutry. That’s because I wanted the mto slowly fade away.

Noticed the last update on youtube ? No ?

It was really frustrating until now to move the time cursor at an exact location. You frequently had the sensation that ” wtf, this video has only 3 or 4 spots where I can move the damn cursor”.

Well, youtube finally fixed that ! Now ,when you hover your mouse cursor over the timeline, the exact time appears, and if you click there, the time cursor will move at that exact spot.

Yay for youtube !

The most noticeable change is the production team : it’s not done by EA anymore, instead the guys who made GTR will do this. I’ve got to say, after watching the teaser my mouth doubled in size. It’s gonna be a real NFS ( something better than GRID !! ) . No more stupidities. A real simulator. At last !
